As Managing Director, Richard led the management buy-out of Enterprise Ventures from Enterprise plc in 2002, since when the company has grown and become established as a leading Northern-based private equity and venture capital provider. He was appointed Executive Chairman in 2005.

Richard has been a leading private equity practitioner for some twenty four years, and is highly experienced in all aspects of private equity, having personally completed many investments, fulfilled a number of Board appointments, successfully led fund raising initiatives and established several new venture capital funds.

Born in the North East of England, a banker by background, Richard has lived in the North West of England for most of his working life.
